The German language proficiency levels are categorized from A1 to C1, reflecting the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Moving from A1 to C1 represents a progression from basic, everyday communication to a high level of language proficiency suitable for complex professional and academic contexts. Each level involves an increasing mastery of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances in the German language.
Each level signifies a different stage of language proficiency:
Beginner (A1) | 1. Can understand & use familiar everyday expressions. 2. Can introduce themselves & others. 3. Can ask & answer questions about personal details & others. |
|
Elementary (A2) | 1. Can understand sentences & frequently used expressions related to areas of immediate relevance. 2. Can communicate in simple, routine tasks requiring a basic exchange of information. |
|
Intermediate (B1) | 1. Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters. 2. Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. |
|
Upper-Intermediate (B2) | 1. Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete & abstract topics. 2. Can interact with the degree of fluency & spontaneity. |
|
Advanced (C1) | 1. Can understand a wide range of demanding & longer texts. 2. Can express ideas fluently & spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. |
When I started learning the language at the age of 17, many people around me questioned the value of this investment but I knew that it was something that I was interested in and wanted to explore. Despite the initial skepticism, my parents supported my decision and even paid for the expensive fees which ended up being a wise investment in the long run. In 2009, during the peak of the recession, I was able to land a job in the banking industry as a German language expert, and this opportunity helped me embark on a successful career in the field. Even today, my knowledge of German continues to set me apart from other candidates and has opened up numerous job opportunities with attractive packages. Not only did learning German help me build my career, but it also led me to start my own teaching journey. Despite initially feeling hesitant about teaching, I gathered the confidence and sought guidance to begin teaching German to just two students from my home in 2008… As my teaching skills developed and I received positive feedback from my students, I decided to officially register my institute, The Language Hub, in 2012. As the number of students grew I hired additional trainers to support me in meeting the demand. Today, The Language Hub is a thriving business and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge of the German language with others. Learning German not only benefited my own career, but it has also allowed me to help others succeed in their language-learning journey.
I would highly recommend the institute. They pay special focus on each student.
I learned German from this class and it was a very good session and very good course for me because personally I haven't learned any new language and I personally wanted to learn a new language for a long time. And once I get got the chance
I took the German E1 course from the Language Hub and the trainer was really amazing. Even if I had doubts or anything, she never got irritated and she taught me with great details and yeah, she played a huge role in me learning German E1.
